Monday, October 3rd, 1966: Denver's Morgan Takes Home AL Batting Honors
Joe Morgan of the Denver Rams capped a fine season by winning the Antiquity League batting crown.
He outpaced all others with his .332 average.

For the season, the Rams second baseman played in 149 games, collected 189 hits, 19 home runs, scored 103 times and knocked in 72 runs.

Morgan regarded himself as "lucky" to avoid any lengthy slumps. "The hits kept coming," he said, "all year long."
