Wednesday, August 2nd, 1967: 1-year Extension for Taylor
Flanked by team officials and his agent, Ron Taylor announced that he'd agreed to terms with the Missions earlier today.

Officials declined to specify a salary publicly, but in private say the figure is $240,400 per year.

So far this season, in 17 relief appearances Taylor has compiled an ERA of 3.15. He has pitched 20 innings, struck out 15, walked 6 and registered 5 saves.
Tuesday, July 25th, 1967: Horton 5-6 for New York
"Believe it or not," said New York left fielder Willie Horton, "they threw me some good pitches today."

That would be hard to believe for anyone who saw him dispose of the Missions with a great 5-hit performance.

"He made it look easy," said the San Francisco manager, who saw his team fall to the New York Gothams, 18-11.

"Hats off to him!"

Horton is swinging at a .281 pace on the year with 25 home runs, 78 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has played in 94 games.
Tuesday, July 18th, 1967: Linzy Stays Put in San Francisco
Missions representatives confirm that they have reached a contract settlement with Frank Linzy and that the 26-year-old reliever will stay on at Missions Park for at least 1 year.

During this season Linzy has 26 relief appearances and registered 1 saves. Batters are hitting him at a .279 rate and his season record is 2-5 with a 6.23 ERA. He has logged 39 innings and struck out 16.
