| Breaking News |  | Monday, August 21st, 1967: Parrilla Selected ALAAA Player of the Week This week ML Triple A pitching was a feast fit for a king and Sam Parrilla really made the most of it -- ripping them royally. The talented Rochester hitting machine produced a sizzling .444 batting average, 3 home runs, 12 hits in 27 at-bats, 10 RBIs and 6 runs.
That kind of hitting earned him the ALAAA Player of the Week honors.
Currently Parrilla is batting .301 with 104 hits and 7 home runs. He has knocked in 52 runs and scored 50 times. |  | Tuesday, August 1st, 1967: ALAAA's Best Batter Picked Rich Rollins had quite a month with the bat in July and the Rochester third baseman was crowned ML Triple A Batter of the Month for his outstanding efforts.
To win the honor, he batted .383 with 41 hits, 6 home runs, 24 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He also drew 8 walks to post a .430 on-base percentage.
For the year Rollins is batting .343 with 61 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 31 times and driven in 26. |  | Friday, July 21st, 1967: High-5s for Rollins! Goes 5-7! Rich Rollins really did a number on the Rattlers in the Rochester 10-9 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 7 at-bats. But Rich Rollins did just that today for the Lakers and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 29-year-old third baseman said after his record-setting performance.
R. Rollins grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, singled in the 11th and hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 13th.
